At long last an opportunity to get out and do some landscape photography. This week I went out again with a couple of vintage lenses attached to my Sony A7r3 as well as a brand new Viltrox 24mm f1.8. This valley with its mix of waterfalls and old mill building cut into a deep valley just seemed made for trying to create a fantasy style image. The torrent of water being pushed over the falls and inaccessibility of most of the mill buildings really makes my life difficult but I know that when this happens you just have to make something out of what the photography gods have given you. Do I get any sort of fantasy image? Watch to find out.
Wyming Brook Landscape and Wildlife Photography
This week I meet up with fellow Nottinghamshire photographer and Youtuber Scott Walker of Walks on the Wild Side for a day of photography at Wyming Brook. This is a location I have always wanted to visit but never managed to get there. Being so close to our home county we decided to pop across the border and explore the place together while splitting up to come back with our own individual takes on the same location. Take a look at what I came up with as I explain some of my techniques for waterfall and fast flowing water photography.
Long Exposure Black and White Photography
For this weeks video I take advantage of the wide spread flooding in my area to go to a well known local location and shoot some images in black and white and over long exposures. Hopefully to produce some original images, however, in very high winds this is not easy! Please like and subscribe!
